What is a cookie?
A cookie is a tiny text file that a website asks your browser to remember. We use a handful — only the ones we need to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand which features actually get used.
We don't use third-party advertising cookies. None.
The three categories
Below is the full list. Strictly necessary cookies are always on — without them the app won't work. The other two you can toggle in the panel on this page or via Settings → Privacy.
How long they live
- Session cookies — deleted when you close the browser tab.
- Persistent cookies — set with a max lifetime of 12 months. We renew them only if you keep using us.
- Local storage — used for the editor's draft state; cleared when you sign out.
Your controls
You can change your mind any time:
- Use the Cookie panel on this page (the toggles below sync to your account if you're signed in).
- Open Settings → Privacy → Cookies inside the app.
- Or simply clear cookies in your browser — we re-ask the next visit.
Disabling functional or analytics cookies is fine, but a few personalisations (language, theme, recent projects) won't stick across sessions.
Changes
If we add or remove a cookie, we update this page and bump the version stamp at the top. Material changes prompt a new consent banner the next time you visit.
